Vancouver Olympics 2010
Arena Snowparks brought knowledge, experience and the latest pipe building technology to the 2010 games in Vancouver as contractors to the halfpipe snowboard venue at Cypress Bowl.
In what has been described as some of the most challenging snow and weather conditions imaginable Arena Snowparks team of operators and hand shapers came together in the harshest of conditions to create a truly World Class pipe for the best pipe riders in the world to showcase their skills.
It all went down under the lights at West Vancouver’s Cypress bowl. A history making run was put down and lots of double corks where thrown in for good measure. Congratulations to the winner’s Shaun White (gold), Peetu Piiroinen (silver) and Scotty Lago (bronze) in the men’s final and Torah Bright (gold), Hannah Teeter (silver) and Kelly Clark (bronze) in the women’s final.
